 It has taken 118 years, but the University of Missouri finally has a football player who has was an award for being recognized as the best at his position. Senior tight end Chase Coffman won the John Mackey Award, which goes to the nation’s top tight end.

 The college football regular season is now complete and it's time to see who will play for the national championship. Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, and even Utah and Boise State were trying to make their case. But the top two teams in the final Wernig Entertainment FBS Poll is not much of a shocker.

Missouri will have a new offensive coordinator when the Tigers begin the 2009 season. But the new play-caller will only have to move over one seat in the press box as quarterbacks coach David Yost was promoted to the position.
It might not be the game they expected, but the Missouri Tigers will be playing in their fifth bowl game in six season. They have accepted a bid to play in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, TX on Dec. 29.
